Fly Fishing in Beautiful Argentina

Argentina fly fishing is an experience you’ll never forget. If there is one thing that anglers love, it’s catching fish. How about catching an elusive Golden Dorado from the sparkling waters of Argentina? At Hawg Hunter World Fishing we know exactly what anglers want from a fly fishing trip, and we have all of the tools and the knowledge to ensure that you have the best fishing trip possible, and all in some of the most beautiful waters and landscapes that nature has to offer. We’ve been taking fishermen, novice and professional alike, to our lodgings located in the northwest region of Argentina in the Salta Province to sit back, relax and enjoy nature and fly fishing the Hawg Hunter way. One thing all of our guests and good friends agree on is that we have some of the best waters anywhere in the world.

Rio Tucanes
There is nothing like a true spring creek on a sunny afternoon, with nothing but you, your pole, and some like-minded sportsman. Rio Tucanes is a mix of warm and cold spring water in the Sierra Cresta del Gallo and Sierra del Piquete. This body of water is full of exotic and healthy fish that really put up a fight when you get them on the hook. Would you want it any other way? The Dorado here can weigh as much as 30 lbs and more, though the average is 8 to 10 lbs – a very respectable 8 to 10 lbs we might add. The trout are impressive as well and you are sure to be busy reelin’ them in.

Rio Juramento
Rio Juramento is a tailwater that comes down from El Tunal Dam in northwest Argentina. It is also the most reliable Dorado fishing in the world! Now you might be asking yourself “the world? It’s a big world out there, you sure about that?” We’re sure! It’s officially rated and everything! Let us tell you, you will hook at least one Dorado if you spend any amount of time with our expert guides. In fact 20 strikes a day is common, and from 15 pounders even! These bad boys put up a fight, so make sure you stretch first!

Lodgings
Hoseria Ayres de Campo is a beautiful, quaint but comfortable location a short jaunt from several Rio Juramento fishing spots. It is located in the neighborly village of J.V. Gonzales and has 5 double beds, each with a private bath.

Dorado Lodge is a real gem. Located near an amazing National Park with an array of wildlife including Puma, Tapir, Jaguar, Monkeys, Toucans, and even wild Turkey, Dorado Lodge is family owned and is being preserved. It offers a spacious stay, currently with room for 4 anglers, but it is being expanded. Electricity is only available through a generator, and you have to hike a nearby hill for cell reception, but that’s what nature’s all about!

Hawg Hunter has the best Argentina fly fishing in the world period. In fact the only thing we’re missing is you! So give us a call today!
