Argentina Adventure Fishing!

Some people fish. We FISH! Especially when we go fishing in Argentina. At Hawg Hunter World Fishing we believe casting that reel in sparkling waters and pulling in that perfect specimen should always be an experience to remember. That’s why our professional guides learn everything there is to know about our exotic and breathtaking locations; and our customers just about always get the trophy fish their looking for when they go with Hawg Hunter World Fishing.

Northwest Region, Salta Province, Argentina
After fish there are only three things that make up the perfect trip, location, location, location. We have some world-class fishing just for you in the stunning northwest region of Argentina right on the Rio Tucanes, a tributary of the Parana River Basin.

From our beautiful Dorado Lodge, a private ranch located on 20 thousand acres, you will have exclusive access to the premier section of Rio Tucanes. You’ll be adjacent to the border of Parque Nacional del Rey in Salta, a National Park with some of the most amazing scenery and wildlife in the world. Among the fish you may catch from this breathtaking location is the fabled and elusive Golden Dorado, one of the most coveted prizes for any sportsman – and our customers almost always get their fish so get ready for a real trophy!

In addition you’ll have easy access to the tranquil Juramento River. This river is approximately 100 ft. wide in most areas. The Dorado here average 8 – 10 lbs but can get as large as 20 – 30 lbs. The record is 37 lbs, and of course we’re always trying to break records so we’d love to take you.

Put on Your Gloves, Some of Them Put Up a Fight!

Rio Tucanes is a true spring creek born from a mix of cold and warm spring water in the Sierra Cresta del Gallo and Sierra del Piquete. You might say “there’s something in the water,” the first time a 20 lb Dorado or Trout bites your hook. If you’re used to fishing more urban streams you’ll notice the difference when some “wild fish” is on your hook.

Rio Juramento is a tailwater that travels down from El Tunal Dam in northwest Argentina, and it happens to be the most reliable Dorado river in the world! The relatively small river will typically produce 20 strikes a day with half of these resulting in hooks and a few landed. Why? Fish over 15 lbs here fight! This river really pushes your skill and your tackle to the limits.

Nature’s Retreat – but more stylish and comfortable.

Hosteria Ayres de Campo offers fast and easy access to several locations on Rio Juramento, where you will experience the world’s most reliable Dorado fishing. It is located in the small and beautiful town of J.V. Gonzalez. There are only 5 double beds available, each with a private bath.

Dorado Lodge is located on a private cattle ranch and has belonged to the same local family for years. Just like the nearby National Park, the location is being preserved. It is surrounded by ancient trees and incredible wild animals like Puma, Tapir, Jaguar, Monkeys, Toucans and different species of Parrots. You may even run into a wild turkey – careful though, this isn’t Thanksgiving Dinner, this specific species is protected. The main building is a ranch house with a large and beautiful living room and a large open kitchen and bar. Right now upstairs has room for 4 anglers and it’s in the process of being expanded to hold 8. This location depends on generators for electricity and a sat unit for phone calls and internet. Amazingly enough, a short 100 yard hike up the nearby hill results in great cell phone reception for most. Talk about the lap of luxury! Well it is beautiful at least.

Enough said! Come fishing in Argentina with Hawg Hunter World Fishing!

Rio Tucanes
There is nothing like a true spring creek on a sunny afternoon, with nothing but you, your pole, and some like-minded sportsman. Rio Tucanes is a mix of warm and cold spring water in the Sierra Cresta del Gallo and Sierra del Piquete. This body of water is full of exotic and healthy fish that really put up a fight when you get them on the hook. Would you want it any other way? The Dorado here can weigh as much as 30 lbs and more, though the average is 8 to 10 lbs – a very respectable 8 to 10 lbs we might add. The trout are impressive as well and you are sure to be busy reelin’ them in.

Rio Juramento

Let us tell you, you will hook at least one Dorado if you spend any amount of time with our expert guides. In fact 20 strikes a day is common, and from 15 pounders even! These bad boys put up a fight, so make sure you stretch first!

Lodgings
Hoseria Ayres de Campo is a beautiful, quaint but comfortable location a short jaunt from several Rio Juramento fishing spots. It is located in the neighborly village of J.V. Gonzales and has 5 double beds, each with a private bath.

Located near an amazing National Park with an array of wildlife including Puma, Tapir, Jaguar, Monkeys, Toucans, and even wild Turkey, Dorado Lodge is family owned and is being preserved. It offers a spacious stay, currently with room for 4 anglers, but it is being expanded. Electricity is only available through a generator, and you have to hike a nearby hill for cell reception, but that’s what nature’s all about!
